The artist Unknown

It has been a lifetime, a struggle to find out who the inner person really is. Every artist or should I say, every person has the ability to use the creative side of their brain but some seem to be predisposed to do so. During our lives, we learn, grow, assimilate new information, and all along the way we gradually build an ever changing self.

I have read that every artist and aspiring artist creates works, evaluates those works and typically feels that their work is somehow incomplete and or less than perfect.

I started young, possibly 2nd or 3rd grade, drawing stick figures and airplanes. As I grew and time went on, I experienced various kinds of art. My father was a great painter and very adept at drawing in chalk and led. He was never known as an artist, but his work was superb.

I grew up drawing, finger painting, dragging my shoes in the dirt, pretty much the same things most kids do. I always thought of the pictures I made and the "dirt drawings" as goofy and of no import. I assumed that everyone else was better and had more talent than I did.

My older brother was an excellent draftsman and artist. He created many vary well done fictional posters, most focused on western lore.

Currently, I am a student of Graphic Design. I attend online classes and spend my time creating art, writing on HubPages and surviving. I illuminated in another hub that I have a serious illness that affects the Pineal gland and from there, the entire nervous system. I don't know if my art expresses this, or if it expresses true artistic talent. I do know that when I create these works, I feel a flow, a spirit. I don't usually have a message that I am trying to share, I prefer to have the viewer share their own thoughts on what I create.

Have a look at these recent works of mine and please, communicate to me your thoughts, your impressions about these pieces.

I work, I live, I struggle like you. I enjoy what I can, fight if I need to, live in peace mostly and write as much as I can. Let me know what you think of these works. Tell me your thoughts and what they say to you.
